Great Wall Engine is a R&D and production establishment for engine assembly, which has member enterprises such as Engine Research Institute, Great Wall Engine Company, Baoding Great Wall Internal Combustion Engine Manufacturing Company Ltd., as well as the subsidiary Engine Company in Tianjin being prepared to construct and the one in Xushui. Great Wall Engine has the comprehensive capacity for independent design, trial -manufacture, calibration, test and production of the complete engine, as well as the capacity of casting and machining for the core spare parts. Moreover, it persists in exploiting self-developed engines and holds on the “three excellence” (high performance, advanced technology and competent quality) as guide strategies for development.
Due to the focus on the strategies of employing talents of internalization and diversity, our company adopts such as experts in motor technique from home and abroad and high technical talents specializing in all technology fields, at the same time, our company has established the mobile scientific research station for the postdoctoral. Presently, Great Wall Engine has more than 3,900 employees and over 600 specialized R&D groups including 25 technical experts, 3 doctors, 30 postgraduates and 300 bachelors.
Great Wall Engine is specialized in series of EG gasoline engines and ED diesel engines, 2.8 diesel engines, 491 gasoline engines, which surpass the domestic products in terms of power and economy. In addition to the Great Wall vehicles, the engines are also applicable to more than 10 vehicles manufacturers including Xiamen Golden Dragon, Tianqi Meiya, Dandong huanghai Auto, Kinglong United, Guangdong Fudi, Yangzhou JAC, etc. The annual production capacity is 600,000 engines.
Great Wall Engine has established a complete system for engine development and management in line with characteristics of Great Wall Company, which possesses the capacity for production design, CAE analysis, calibration, NVH, experiment analysis, six main core capacity of Benchmark. Such manufacturing system standardizes every detailed process of development of engines systematically, which contributes to laying the foundation for R&D world- class strength.
The company is also provided with product laboratories where the main test equipments and instruments include Austrian AVL test bench for dynamic performance stimulation, static performance test bench, drum dynameters, emission test system and multi-channel combustion analyzer. With these equipments and instruments, the performance test and emission test of the gasoline/diesel engines for light vehicles as well as the reliability test and intake port performance test for complete engines and spare parts can be conducted.
